National Recycling Week 2015

09 November 2015

"In November 1996, Planet Ark founded National Recycling Week to bring a national focus to the environmental benefits of recycling. Now in its 20th year, this established and highly regarded annual campaign continues to educate and stimulate behaviour change, by:

  • Promoting kerbside, industrial and community recycling initiatives
  • Giving people the tools to minimise waste and manage material resources responsibly at home, work and school."

 About National Recycling Week

A quick activity for National Recycling Week – Traditional culture had nothing to waste – Year 7

"Quick summary: Students investigate the resources used by Australia’s Indigenous peoples for tens of thousands of years. They compare their resource use with what we consume today. Students extrapolate and compare the impact on our environment."
